In our game of D&D, creating characters, Ballig is creating his character for Mooncabbage's campaign, but can't comprehend the name Ballig chose for his character - "Tzu":

[Mooncabbage] Tzu?
[Mooncabbage] ur not a bloody munk are you
[Ballig] no
[Mooncabbage] azn?
...
[Mooncabbage] so you're like
[Mooncabbage] one of them emerald city lads?
[Mooncabbage] from the mysterious east?
[Ballig] no
[Ballig] no
[Mooncabbage] no?
[Ballig] no
[Mooncabbage] why "tzu" then

[Ballig] because it's a good Australian band
[Mooncabbage] that's not a good reason to use it as a character name

[Mooncabbage] it may infact be the worst reason i've ever heard
[Ballig] I've heard worse reasons
[Avatar] maybe he had a spiritual tie to that name
[Avatar] or he had a calling from god to use the name 'Tzu'
[Ballig] I can come up with a roleplay reason for having an eastern sounding name but not being eastern
[Ballig] if that would appease you
[Ballig] why, OOC, I chose the name means little

[Mooncabbage] oh i just thought you could be a cleric of like Fharlanghn
[Ballig] maybe he was brought up in one of those native indian-type tribes where they name their children after a sound or animal they see straight after birth
[Ballig] and his father sneezed

[Mooncabbage] why must people pick arbitrary names, instead of taking the effort to properly name their characters
